Zincaloy Inc. began commercial operations on June 1, 1992 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (near the city of Toronto). Our Zincaloy facility features a unique, vertical continuous-casting machine which produces a variety of zinc alloy bar stock in solid round, hollow, flat and custom shapes.
Prototyping: Solid round and flat zinc bars are available in SHG, ZAMAK 3, ZAMAK 5, ZA-8, ZA-12 and ZA-27 alloys as excellent prototype materials. A con-cast zinc bar, made from the same alloy, has been found to have similar mechanical and physical properties of pressure die cast parts due to a rapid freezing rate. Thus, time and mould design costs are saved when our con-cast prototype bar is used. A full selection of solid round and flat bars is available for immediate sale and delivery.
Bearings: Zincaloy TM (ZA-12 alloy) hollow bearing stock is produced for low speed, high load sleeve bearing applications. Zincaloy TM bearings are used primarily in heavy equipment applications such as those found in the mining, construction, forestry and off-road vehicle industies. Zincaloy TM offers an economical, lead-free, long-life, lower weight alternative over bronze 660, manganese-bronze, aluminum-bronze, cast iron, steel and non-metallic bearing materials.
Screw Machine Stock: Con-cast zinc alloy bars with their good surface quality and diametral tolerances have been used as an alternative for zinc, brass, bronze or aluminum screw machine stock.
Compression Forging Stock: Zinc alloys such as ZA-12 and superplastic alloy 2582 in the con-cast form can be used as compression forging materials.
Anodes: Pure and anodic zinc materials can be con-cast into a wide range of bar shapes and sizes.
