In the fall of 1994 I developed a new food product, called Zesto!

I have since launched a manufacturing company to package, distribute and import powdered citrus peel product. I was between businesses when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1986. The disease affected the use of my hands. I am an avid cook and it became very frustrating trying to grate citrus peel for my recipes. At the time it occured to me that I probably wasn't the only person who couldn't or didn't want to grate the peel by hand, so I set out to find a more convenient form. That is when my Zesto journey began. My goal was to find a genuine substitute that would have the same great taste and nutritional value as freshly grated Zest.

My Zesto! logo and slogan 'NO MORE GRATED KNUCKLES' are both registered trademarks in Canada and registration in the U. S is in progress. I am member of the Canadian Coucil of Grocery Distributors and In May 1997 Zesto has been officially registered in the GRAND PRIX NEW PRODUCTS AWARDS. I have recently received inquiries from all over the world about supplying Zesto in bulk quanties. I have limited knowledge in the area of export so I am seeking to find a joint venture partner who could offer both financial and experienced support. I hope someone will be able to offer some guidance. I am confident, having completed 4 years of research, that the potential for growth both in Canada and internationally is virtually unlimited, providing an adequate and agressive marketing plan is implemented. At the present time there is no competition, however I firmly believe that time is of the essence. The grocery industry is massive and often omplicated by a tremendous amount of red tape and the competition is fierce.
