Z-Tech/Geogard Inc., (ZTG), is a unit of the Z-TECH GROUP, with headquarters on the outskirts of Montral, in St-Jrme, Qubec. It is primarily involved in the distribution and/or installation of wide variety of geosynthetic materials, including woven and non-woven geotextiles and geogrids for soil reinforcement, drainage improvement and erosion control applications. In addition, it offers specialized installation services of geomembrane liners, of varying types and thicknesses. These are used in a wide variety of applications, for seepage control and for environmental protection applications. They are commonly used to line landfill sites, municipal wastewater aeration lagoons, raw water containment, ash ponds, mining heap leaching pads, pads for compost heaps and process effluent holding ponds, as well as in secondary containment applications around petrochemical tanks, to contain accidental spills.

Highly dedicated and experienced crews, using the latest in seaming technology, plan and execute each installation to ensure effective use of the liner material selected. Great care is taken with a view to the long-term effectiveness of the installation. A well documented and implemented Q. A./Q. C. programme is followed, in close collaboration with the clients or their representatives.

Complete engineering support is available to enhance the efforts of the project consultants. This includes the selection of the most appropriate geomembrane lining materials, the proper detailing of the preparatory earthworks required, details of the various mechanical connections to be made, as well as the cover material, if required.

Geomembrane lining materials offered include a complete range of polyethylene films (HDPE, LLDPE, etc.), PVC's, as well as highly specialized materials for specific containment applications. These well-proven materials offer real solutions to many of the challenges facing industry and governments in the proper containment of environmentally sensitive materials.

In addition to the company's extensive experience within North America and abroad, ZTG is also actively involved in supporting the other members of the Z-TECH GROUP of companies, with their installation requirements. These companies and their activities are as follows:
