At Valron Engineers Inc. the latest in state-of-the-art computer systems and software are used to enhance design optimization and to prepare design drawings. Our library of up-to-date computer software includes programs such as AUTOCAD 2000 and CADKEY '98 for computer drafting. AUTOCAD and CADKEY development languages are used for customizing these drawing packages to further improve our drafting capabilities. For structural design, programs such as STAAD III are employed. This powerful design program is the most popular and widely used structural engineering software in the world. Other very important software packages which are also used by the firm's designers include WOODWORKS for design in timber, MASONRY '95 for design in masonry, LEAP SOFTWARE for designing bridges and ADOSS for designing concrete slabs. Out-of- the ordinary structures such as domes, irregular flat plates, curvilinear structures etc., are engineered using finite element programs, to provide precise designs. In-house programs are also developed as required to solve specific problems or to optimize design of repetitive elements.
The engineering design and drafting produced by our staff is prepared with care and attention to detail in order to provide the most cost effective solution for our clients' projects. Our technicians are experienced in AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION and CADKEY and will complete the drawings in the format requested by the client. Manual drafting is still offered to those clients who require it. We recently have made the integration of XSTEEL into our automated detailing capabilities for those clients that prefer it.
