In addition to assembling the company's 1kW and 10kW couplers and coupler controls, as well as other sophisticated equipment for the Canadian Armed Forces and commercial customers, Valcom's electronics assembly personnel are skilled in building a wide range of electro-mechanical avionics equipment and wiring harnesses to customer's print and Military Specifications.
The Electronics Assembly Division specializes in the production of communication equipment and systems including the VR-1001 HF receiver, the AN/VRC-12 series of vehicular VHF radio sets, the AN/PRC-77 and PRC-477 manpack VHF radio sets, and a wide selection of audio accessories.

Utilizing the engineering and manufacturing expertise that our technical staff acquired in producing land tactical communications equipment, Valcom developed a line of fibreglass whip antennas which ensure mechanical strength and electrical stability even under the most severe operating conditions.
Available in sizes ranging from 29 to 85 feet these antennas operate in the 10kHz - 30MHz range. Having produced over 5000 antennas, Valcom Ltd. has become the world's leading manufacturing of high quality LF, MF, HF and VHF fibreglass whip antennas.
Antenna systems are supplied to some 25 countries in addition to the domestic market.

Metal Fabrication and Production Machine Shop
Valcom's Machine Shop staff produce metal sub-assemblies on a custom basis. With a fully equipped machine shop and knowledgeable personnel, Valcom services customers whose production requirements range from several units to thousand of pieces.
It is fully equipped with the latest metal working, fabricating, moulding and electro-mechanical assembly machinery, including a CNC precision production lathe, moulding machines, presses, grinders, sand blasters, shapers and welding equipment.
With this in-house capability, Valcom is not dependent on outside vendors for its machining requirements.
