Yes. Now you CanLearn anywhere! The CanLearn B. A. on-line learning project is under way at University College of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, B. C. 80 kilometers East of Vancouver. UCFV is a mid-size multi-campus undergraduate university with 8, 000 regular and 17, 000 part-time and adult students, many of them studying at a distance. UCFV's CanLearn project is a 1, 400, 000 partnership initiative with Industry Canada and Canarie Inc. It combines B. C. learnware design experts with UCFV faculty and resources to produce some fifty multi-media web-based degree-credit courses for an on-line General or thematic B. A. by March 2001. There is also a unique Literacy Tutoring Certificate programme. Courses start September 2000 and will include video-streaming as well as disabled access aids. Interested?
