UCAN Fastening Products is a wholly Canadian owned company, which has specialized in concrete anchoring systems for over 30 years. With his extensive background in the construction industry, Harry Weitz established Ucan Fastening Products in 1964. The company has always emphasized the practicality and cost effectiveness of its product as well as the on time delivery of orders. The UCAN line, of anchors and fasteners for the construction industry, is perhaps the most extensive available and it includes several unique products. In addition UCAN is exceptionally well equipped to supply special devices, sizes, and finishes when required. UCAN has developed custom made solutions for many special applications. All products are strictly quality controlled, both during production and prior to delivery, to assure adherence to performance specifications. UCAN has established long term working relationships with several of the worlds leading fastener manufacturers and, with their help, carries on an active Research and Development program to improve both products and installation methods. New products are added to the UCAN line only after they have been extensively field tested and proven superior to those already in place. Some of our recent innovations include the Hammer Cap, an adhesive anchor in which the components are mixed when a threaded rod or reinforcing bar is simply hammered home as well as a new Heavy Load Anchor, which is designed for tension zone fastening and retains high holding power in seismic occurrences. The UCAN Scru-It masonry screw has set new standards for performance in anchors of this type. The Scru-it's unique scalloped thread is designed to tap much deeper grooves into the base material. As a result, the performance of Scru-It exceeds that of competing brands by as much as 100% in problem substrates such as mortar joints and precast units. A highly experienced technical sales team, including a professional engineer, is available to provide technical assistance when required. Through its national network of stocking distributors UCAN is able to supply product quickly to any site in Canada. UCAN also has a number of warehouses in the U. S., supplying local markets.
