I am an instructional designer and technical writer with over 10 years of experience in the community, public and private sectors, complemented by academic training in psychology/anthropology (BA, McGill University) and Educational Technology (MA, Concordia University). I have extensive performance improvement experience in the sectors of telecommunications and computer-related technology, transportation, banking, and education and have designed and developed training and performance interventions for a broad range of learners in a variety of media.
I specialize in the custom design and development of workplace- related training and documentation to a variety of individual and organizational clients. I have provided services in this capacity since 1987 on a project-by-project basis, to meet the needs of various target groups. In one of the projects (Siebel implemented in a call center) I developed and implemented a training strategy for five separate target groups, of initial classroom training (including orientation, job processes, and technology) followed by structured on-the-job coaching. It was extremely successful, achieving a smooth transition to a newly- created call centre for primarily new employees.
I am goal-oriented, organized and effective. I think well on my feet and respond appropriately to changing and complex situations. My interpersonal style is friendly and informal. I have excellent communication and relationship-building skills to support my MA (Educational Technology). I work comfortably in French (verbal) and write impeccable English.
I am based in Montreal and am available on a contract basis. I can be on-site as required by project needs.
