Tulmar specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of military tie down and vehicle stowage support equipment(straps, harnesses, covers, seat cushions, tents and shelters) and inflatable safety equipment (life vests, life rafts, airline training slides and inflatable shelters).
Tulmar also operates a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO 67-92) and is a JAR-145 accepted facility certified by the Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA-7062)to carry out repair and overhaul services on inflatable safety equipment(life vests, life rafts and escape slides).
The company's customer base is very diversified consisting of:
military, airlines and marine users. Tulmar has developed a special relationship with primary defense contractors such as General Dynamics Land Systems to supply seat covers and stowage support equipment for the Light Armored Vehicle and Armored Personnel Carrier (APC). Tulmar also exports this equipment to the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
Tulmar produces life jackets for military and commercial use, including our own FAA approved TSOC13F commerical jacket. Tulmar also designs and manufactures airline escape slides / rafts for training use and Liferamp--an inflatable ramp for ice/water rescue. The ramp is made in a variety of sizes ranging from 10 feet to 80 feet and is of particular appeal to airport rescue authorities. Tulmar recently developed a rapidly deployable inflatable shelter system for emergency response teams which can also incorporate decontamination equipment.
Tulmar opperates from a modern 60, 000 square foot facility with equipment ranging from computerized cutting tables and sewing machines to R. F. (radio frequency) welding equipment.
The company carries on R & D activities related to the above product areas and is always interested in discussing new product development with third parties.
