ORB Tech was founded in 1992 in response to business opportunities created by larger firms who found it more effective to contract out product management of items that were maturing in their product life cycle and products that had become peripheral to their core business. ORB Tech offers lower phase-out costs as it is better suited to handle small production runs, inventory management and product support for these items.

The company has enjoyed steady growth and the continuing loyalty of its customers and is currently achieving annual sales of $5 million. ORB Tech employs 45 people including 9 in engineering, management and administration. The company recently moved to St. Eustache, north of Montreal.
