Optical Scanning Services
We offer scanning services in black & white, greyscale and colour of all types of documents like microfilms, Engineering Drawings, Maps, and small documents. We also scan extra large documents (60 inches wide by 10 feet long)in black & white, and colour. We use a large flatbed scanner that we have designed and that offers a precision of 0.003 (three thousandth of an inch). There is a clearance of 5 inches between the table and the camera and therefore it can process documents mounted on rigid background (foamcore, laminated, etc) like posters and works of art. In addition, we have a division that converts drawings and maps to CAD softwares like Catia, Autocad and Microstation. Other services include scanning of small administrative documents and creation of electronic libraries in PDF format and Optical Character Recognition (OCR). If needed, we design and install made-to-measure electronic document management programs.
