Trent University is shaping tomorrrow's leaders today. Recognized as one of Canada's outstanding small universities (number one in Ontario, Maclean's magazine1999), we offer extensive personal attention from professors and academic advisors, an emphasis on interactive learning, a vibrant international community and strong liberal arts and science programs.
At Trent, with 3, 800 full-time students, you'll find a friendly, welcoming and safe environment. Trent is located in Peterborough, Ontario, a city of 70, 000 that blends small-town friendliness with big-city cultural life. We're only a 90-minute drive from Toronto, Canada's largest city, three hours from Ottawa, the national capital, and an hours flight from New York City.
Much of the teaching at Trent takes place in small groups that provide an intimate learning environment. Over 76% of first and second year classes have fewer than 25 students and science labs are kept to a maximum of 24 students.
All students are considered for entrance scholarships. Guaranteed scholarships to those possessing 80 % and above average. A limited number of full and partial scholarships and in-course bursaries for international students are offered through the International Program.
Trent's International Program (TIP) Office offers counselling in areas such as health insurance, immigration information, employment opportunities, finances, scholarships, and academic programs.
