LGM Graphics boasts a lengthy and proud history and a continued dedication to excellence. We have been a top contender in the printing field for over a century. The original company, Stovel Company Limited, began operations in 1889 on Portage Avenue in Winnipeg. In these early years, the company positioned itself as a leader and innovator, boasting many firsts in Canada including the use of a linotype machine for job printing and the incorporation of threecolour plates in the printing process. Between 1918 and 1950, the company established itself as one of the largest printers in western Canada. After several mergers and purchases, the company became known as Lawson Graphics in 1976, part of the Lawson and Jones company. In 1986 the company reached another milestone when the principals of Lawson Graphics Manitoba and Lawson Computer Graphics joined together to form LGM Graphics Inc. LGM Graphics Inc. became Canada' largest independent publication printer. In 1998 LGM Graphics joined with Transcontinental Printing of Montreal, one of the top ten printers in North America. With over 50 years of graphic arts management experience and a team of higly skilled professionals, Transcontinental LGM Graphics continues to serve the needs of customers across Canada in the United States, from offices located in Winnipeg, Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto.
