Special skills in advanced structural wood technology applications have allowed the company to provide creative solutions to many project. Many of Canada's most recent large heavy timber projects have been supplied and installed by TSL. Among the special projects just completed are the new Forst Sciences Building at the University of British Columbia where creative efforts showed efficient ways to integrate Parallam, Glulam, Solid timber, I-joists and light wood trusses into a major project. The 26 wood buildings for the new Castaway Cay resort in the Bahamas for Disney Cruise Lines were supplied on schedule, and sucessfully withstood the onslaught of 140 MPH winds from Hurricane Louis in 1999. The Canadian International School in Hong Kong featured a heavy timber truss system designed and supplied by the company. Many major resorts in the Bahamas and Carribean feature TSL products... Club Med Columbus Isle; Radisson Cable Beach Hotel, Nassau; Four Seasons Resorts Estates, Nevis to name a few.
