In-house design engineers consult with customers to provide innovative bearing system designs that meet or exceed the customers technical requirements.

For superior performance in commercial and naval vessels, Thordon offers two environmentally friendly propeller shaft bearing systems, COMPAC and Thor-Lube. Thordon was also the first to offer factory guaranteed 10 year wear life performance of Thordon SXL self-lubricating rudder bearings. Thordon bearings have been used in hydro-electric applications for over 20 years and Thordons original application, pump bearings, are used by OEMs and endusers throughout the world.

A dedicated team of Research and Development Engineers continually develop and test new generation polymers and bearing designs to further improve the performance of the bearing systems being supplied.
