TAPP Consulting services has created, and is presently making accessible to Canadian government and Canadian private sector companies, a pool of former executives and senior managers (numbering 117 at present) who are available to undertake service contracts. CONSULTANT PROFILE: Their levels ranged from Senior Manager to Chief Executive Officer/Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Minister. In totality, the pool represents 2200 man-years of experience in government and 600 man-years of experience in the private sector. On average, each TAPP consultant has worked 20.0 years. Having filled senior management positions, TAPP consultants have demonstrated the attributes expected of people at that level i. e. leadership, organizational and political awareness, interpersonal relations, action and profit orientation, knowledge and a thinking and change mentality. Seventy-one percent are bilingual. TAPP Consulting Services has in its inventory associates with extensive government experience in communications, education, environment, health and welfare, intergovernmental and international affairs, economic and regional development, Indian and northern affairs, social sciences, social services, labour management, finance, agriculture, transportation, natural resources, industry, heritage, postal operations and federal/provincial/local/international government administration.
Similarly, TAPP Consultants have private sector experience in agriculture, mining, manufacturing, transportation, communications, trade, management consulting, education and other community, business and personal service industries, health and welfare services, etc.
TAPP does 70% of its business for government and the remainder for private sector companies. TAPP consulting has expanded its consultant base of expertise by doubling its associates since the companys founding in 1995. Its volume of business and gross sales have quadrupled yearly, with a similar outlook for year 2001.
TAPP provides executive and senior management consultants to undertake service contracts on a per diem basis. Can also provide people as management fill-ins and/or allow government/private sector companies to try out executives on a temporary basis. In the latter case, if the organization wants to permanently retain these people, then TAPP is paid a finders fee (similar to that done by HR search or headhunter organizations). Furthermore TAPP enters into co-operative arrangements with other consulting companies supplying them with team members or individual consultants, on a sub-contract basis, when such companies do not have the necessary in-house resources.
TAPPs knowledge of and experience in the public service (i. e. government) is second to none. The company has eighty (80) consultants who reached the highest levels of government. The remainder of TAPPs consultants (31) have reached similar levels and have equivalent experience in the private sector. Therefore, the company has the capability of forming well rounded project teams which can bring to bear and consider both private and public sector interests.
Thirty (30) of TAPPs consultants have worked in the international field some of whom have managed large projects and budgets, while others have filled diplomatic postings and appointments.
Our principal language capabilities are in English and French. However to a lesser extent, we have language capabilities in German, Hungarian, Spanish, Gaelic, Russian, Polish, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian and Czech.
