TOPS Conveyor Systems was founded in 1991 as an offspring of Farbridge Machinery of Oakville. Farbridge's founders, Dave and Marcus Verbrugge, were the first FlexLink System Builders in Canada (since 1984). TOPS started with FlexLink and has since added several other complementary product lines. TOPS maintained an aggressive outlook and, with a solid reputation for unparalleled service, grew from the bottom of FlexLink's system builder list to #2 in North and South America combined. Pretty impressive, considering many of FlexLink's system builders are much larger companies with many times the sales and service staff. It speaks volumes for the TOPS commitment to superiority in the marketplace. TOPS has long held a vision for modularability. Modular systems mean rapid turnaround, proven engineering, effective cost and ease in set-up, not to mention short learning curves and all the benefits of common componentry.
TOPS represents four distinctly different and wonderfully useful product lines:
FlexLink - A system of captured plastic chain running in aluminium extrusions. Hytrol - belt and roller conveyor for packaging, sortation and general material handling.
