The Foundation:

TGI Technologies Ltd. is a privately owned Canadian Corporation that was formed in June 1989 as the technical arm of the Tradeglobe Group of Companies. TGI develops and manufactures communications software and hardware to provide a complete range of integrated enhanced messaging services to corporate endusers over UNIX and PC Networks (LANs and WANs).

Tradeglobe was formed in 1982 and is a privately owned international trading company based in Vancouver, B. C., Canada. Tradeglobe was created in response to the business opportunities presented when China opened its markets during the early 1980s. Tradeglobe's founding partners, Mr. Thompson Chu and Mr John McDermott, can be described as pioneers who recognized the tremendous potential for growth in China prior to forming Tradeglobe. Mr Chu has established and managed his own China trading company and Mr McDermott had successfully directed one of the first Western high-tech companies into China.

Mr Chu and Mr McDermott bring together complementary skills and over 55 years of business and marketing experience. Mr Chu has extensive knowledge of China, its culture, politics and business practices while Mr McDermott has held senior management positions in industry leading telecommunications companies. Tradeglobe reflects individual strengths and has matured to be a complete but very versatile marketing organization. Tradeglobe's organizational structure is very responsive to markets and it has established a network of offices and distributors worldwide to manage the trade of commodities, consume products and highly sophisticated telecommunications equipment.

Tradeglobe's early focus concentrated on trade with the Far East but has expanded to include manufacturing of a number of product lines. The move to diversify into manufacturing products has been successful and has become an integral component of Tradeglobe's business. Tradeglobe employs approximately 100 people with offices in Vancouver, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Beijing, Taipei and Seoul, Korea. The Tradeglobe Group of Companies contributed in excess of $50 million in sales in 1993.

TGI was formed as part of Tradeglobe's diversification program with a mandate to enter the rapidly growing Information Technology sector. The formation of TGI was a natural progression due to management's telecommunications expertise and Tradeglobe's continued representation of a number of large companies in China. TGI currently has a head office in Vancouver and a branch office in Louisiana.

The initial phase of providing enterprise-wide fax applications for users on LANs and WANs has been successfully completed. TGI is one of a few companies that can supply fax server software for both PC and UNIX environments. Future products will incorporate fax, data, voice and video to provide integrated enhanced service to the desktop.

• Enroute Exchange Pro

  Enroute Exchange Pro is a client/server fax server for unix based LANs/WANs. It provides connectivity to windows, window 95 and windows NT clients.

  The Enroute server can be scaled from a single user to service hundreds of fax modem/lines and thousands of users on a WAN.

  Enroute provides DID routing via TGI's messenger hardware, email integration, high security and reliability and API for custom development.

  Enroute Express: Is a MS-DOS compatible multi-port fax server that operates over a Novell LAN. It allows users on the LAN to send and receive faxes from their desktop. Its features include:

  up to 8 fax lines, DTMF routing, HP PCL to fax conversion, PhoneBook accounting reports, and the ability to fax from other software such as WP, Word, and Windows.

• Enroute Messenger

  Enroute Messenger is a communication server comprised of Fax/Voice hardware.

  It is a self-contained subsystem that enhances the throughout performance of enroute fax software by providing a direct connection to the PSTN via analog, TI/EI, and ISDN lines.

  Messenger uses QNX operating system, enables (DID) routing, and provides enhanced fax services such as fax broadcasting, fax back and fax on demand.
