Located on two acres of prime industrial land in Cambridge 5 minutes from the 401 and highway 24 intersection, the company employs more than 225 people in an 88, 000 sq. ft. facility.
We manufacture a wide range of high technology machined products for the aerospace, defence, biomedical, electro- optical and communication satellite industries, and also provide engineering and prototyping services to the scientific and research communities.
Equipped with the latest in metal removal machine tools, our technicians will determine your needs and process your product through material analysis, metal removal, EDM, grinding, turning, honing, plating, heat-treating, deburring, inspection, to tolerances as small as 0.00002'.
The company provides engineering and machining services for the manufacture of small, very close tolerance mechanical requirements. Our products can be found in biomedical implants, Boeing, Airbus and Canadair aircraft and IMAX 70mm motion picture theatres. Strite components have been to the moon and are installed in dozens of communication satellites.
The company has a wide range of CNC machining capability including CNC vertical and horizontal machining centres, precision Swiss grinding centres, jig boring, laser welding and one of the most comprehensive electrical discharge machining operations in Canada. Strite has the ability to achieve superior finishes using a variety of grinding, honing, lapping and deburring techniques. Included are such processes as vibratory deburring, extrusion deburring, thermal deburring and passivation.
The materials used in manufacturing include a wide range of alloys as well as synthetics, plastics and ceramics. Specialty metals such as inconel, titanium and magnesium are among the many metal alloys which Strite regularly machines to exacting tolerances.
Our design engineering group has conceived, designed, and manufactured ultra-precision measuring equipment for the tire industry and cooling equipment for auto transmissions.
