In its first year of production, 2004, SkeetSafe Inc. successfully presented the product to the market through Shoppers Drug Mart which continues to carry the product in the 2005 season.
The product is available in two strengths, Adult, which contains a 25% DEET formula, and Childrens which contains a 10% DEET formula, the maximum DEET allowable in a childrens product. No other company in North American produces an insect repellent towelette aimed at the childrens market.
The product is designed to repel mosquitoes, which may carry West Nile Virus, as well as a variety of other biting insects.
SkeetSafe towelettes are geared for the convenience seeking consumer convenient to use, convenient to carry. It provides people with the option of using an insect repellent only when needed, eliminating the just in case use required with many sprays and lotions too bulky to carry while golfing, hiking, or participating in many outdoor activities.
It is economical to use and priced to compete favorably with all other insect repellent products on the market.
