All the Shield Source Incorporated products are licensed by the CNSC (Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission) and meet all appropriate approvals and listings such as NFPA, UL, and Ontario Ministry of Environment codes. Many local agencies and fire marshals have authorized the use of Shield Source signs in their districts. SHIELD SOURCE Incorporated manufactures and distributes tritium gas-filled light sources and self luminous safety signs throughout Canada and the United States with some overseas distributions. The headquarter is located at the Peterborough Municipal Airport. The company specializes in products of maximun light output for long life and low maintenance applications such as zone markers, safety exit signs and safety aisle markers. Licenses have been granted from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and the Ontario Ministry of Environment to cover all its present operations, including manufacture and testing of various lighting systems. The company also maintain offices in the United States for warehousing, sales and distribution. Under a technology transfer agreement, Shield Source has purchased rights to certain products and processes developed by Safety Light Corporation which has been in the business for over 40 years.

At present, the company is manufacturing a line of commercial Egress signs for sale in Canada, the United States and International markets.
