Scintrex Limited of Concord, Ontario, Canada, is a developer and manufacturer of scientific instruments for earth science and environmental markets. Our instruments allow for precise measurements of geophysical data for exploration and monitoring in petroleum, mineral, ground water and academic applications. In addition, Scintrex provides airborne and ground based geophysical exploration services for the mining and petroleum industries.
The origins of Scintrex Limited date back to the year 1946 when the company, then known as Sharpe Instruments Ltd., first manufactured a number of fine mechanical and opto-mechanical measuring devices. By the mid-1950's, the product line had expanded to include electronic and electromechanical devices, primarily for use in mineral exploration as well as a quartz-element gravimeter.
Facilities:
Scintrex' head office and plant is located in Concord, (Toronto), Ontario,. All of Scintrex' manufacturing and R&D facilities, as well as the central corporate management, are at this location. A total of approximately 45 employees occupy this plant.
Scintrex has an International Sales and Marketing Organization with agents and representative in over 70 countries

Those instruments are all designed to sense and measure quantities such as: force fields (magnetic, gravitational, electrical), physical properties, or trace amounts of elements or gases in solid, liquid or gaseous media.
