Scientek Hospital & Laboratory Equipment is a division of a publicly traded, 100 year old Canadian company with annual turn over of $100 million +. The products are manufactured in our factory located on the west coast of Canada. Our business is 95% export; with USA, UK, France, Italy, Spain, and the Far East as our main markets. We also export to the Middle East and Mexico.

Our market includes Hospitals, Pharmaceutical Companies, University Research Laboratories, Biotechnology Firms, Electronics Research Facilities, Animal Research Laboratories and Medical Clinics. Our products are capital equipment by nature, consisting of:

• A line of Washing/Disinfection/Decontamination Equipment

for use in Hospital Central Sterile & Washing Departments and in the Operating Rooms, in Animal Research Laboratories for washing animal cages/ racks/glassware and bottles, and in any environment where high volume, disinfection washing is required.

• A line of Dissection Equipment for human and animal

research purposes. (Dissection Tables, Necropsy Tables, Mortuary Refrigerators, Biohazard Fume Hoods, Grossing Stations.)

• A line of Operating Room Furniture (Warming Cabinets for

solutions used during operatingprocedures; Surgical Scrub Sinks; Instrument Cabinets; Pass Through Wall Cabinets.)

Scientek promotes its products through international trade shows, regional trade shows, industry conferences, trade magazines and journals. Our distribution is through local agents and distributors on an exclusive basis. We specialize in working with our agents to promote to end users and design authorities, architects and facility designers. Because of our reputation, most of our business is by way of referrals and repeat customers.

Our terms are variable and are subject to the size and financial structure of the agency/distributors or end customers. Payments are usually through irrevocable letters of credit or direct bank transfers.

Our existing markets as indicated above tend to be modernized countries which have advance and sophisticated medical/healthcare/hospital/research infrastructures. As a result, our products are very well accepted. In fact, Scientek is the standard in most of these markets.
