Established in 1988, SGA is a wholly Canadian owned consulting firm dedicated to the provision of technical and social science services related to energy, environmental and international development.

SGA specializes in energy and environment planning, project preparation, and project management services. It is experienced in all aspects of planning and project preparation: supply/demand surveys, data management, forecasting, economic/financial analysis, sourcing financing, and policy development for all sectors (residential, commercial, industrial, transport, agriculture).

SGA has worked in both the rural and urban sectors of both developing countries and Canada. Planning is carried out with a strong focus on sustainability. The firm is experienced in the economic and financial analysis of rural electrification systems as well as efficiency and renewable options.

Climate change issues are a particular focus for SGA. The firm has experience in the development of inventories, forecasts and mitigation measures both in Canada and internationally.
