Research Plastic Inc. produces injection molded plastic caulking tubes for the adhesives and sealants industry including silicones acrylic latex, and polyurethane's in our plant in Windsor, Ontario. We are the only manufacturer that produces a Self Burping Tube with US Patent #'s 5, 628, 433; 5, 749, 499 & Can. Patent #2, 196, 155.
The plastic tubes are 10.5oz or 300ML size with an integral 3' nozzle. All of the caulking tubes are decorated with a label up to four colours using a silk screen process. All the caulking tubes fit into any standard 11oz. caulking gun for applications in the automotive, construction, 'do it yourself', and painting industries. Included in the company's products are the various accessory parts which include five different plunger designs. The company also manufactures a LadderSaddle which is an all purpose utility caddie that can fit onto virtually any ladder. It can be used to hold paint, tools, nuts and bolts and various other items when a ladder is needed for the job.
Research Plastic Inc. produces all of the tooling required to make these products and has extensive engineering and production facilities to build and design various molds. The company can make prototype molds and is currently working on projects to produce the first injection molded two colour caulking tube. This will allow the company to produce a caulking tube with a coloured spout or nozzle. The company is currently designing and building a tube with a wider orifice for extruding heavy viscous materials.
