The team assembled for this project has over 100 years experience in designing and developing nets for the fishing industry in Canada, and for 27 countries across the world, seven (7) of which required trawls. Most of their expertise comes directly from developing and adapting to the needs of the Atlantic Fisherperson(s). Rainbow Net & Rigging Limited has also been influential contributor in assisting the Denmark Fisheries in designing and fabricating trawls with positive results, and has contributed to the Atlantic Fishing Industry by training many of the individuals on the proper trawl construction.

The assigned team has built a reputation on timely deliveries in accordance to fulfill customer requirements. This success comes from solid project management principles integrated into each stage of the project until completion, along with open/flexible correspondence. It is our goal to aid the Department of Oceans ad Fisheries in achieving its mandate for the products fabricated for this venture.

Human Resources

Cecil Mitchell Owner of Rainbow Net and Rigging Limited: Over 37 Years experience in the business of developing, designing, fabricating various products constructed of ropes and netting. Previous employment - 20 years Gourock, (Predecessor of Bridgeport-Wire Rope Industries) a trawl net fabrication company located at the Lakeside Industrial Park in Halifax, parent company in Glasgow, Scotland.

Paul Allen BBA IT Production/Marketing Manager: Newly acquired for his skill in process planning and quality control methodology. He has been assigned as the Project Leader due to extensive experience in product/project management background. The Project Leader will be the primary contact for the department, mediating requirements to the assembled team, structuring project deliverables, establish clear task timelines, and report to clients on regarding the projects accomplishments.

Jack Mitchell Outside Sales: Over 54 years experience in net fabrication. Former employment 20 years with Gourock trawl net fabrication.

Terry Lunn Forman: Over 30 years experience in the business of fabricating net products. Acquired from IMP for his extensive knowledge and experience in trawl fabrication.

Project Delivery Experience

Rainbow Net and Rigging Limited have constructed well over various 1, 200 trawl designs including 500 of 300 Star Balloon Trawl some of which were contracted by Department of Fisheries. Prior to establishing his own company, both Cecil and Jack Mitchell fabricated 1000s of trawls on strict deadlines. While foreman with Gourock, Cecil Mitchell looked after 38 employees, producing an impressive 2 trawls a day during its peek production times.
