All Poly Diamond Canada PDC drill bits are designed with an ultra short body with enhanced hydraulics to ensure excellent ROP and bit cleaning to reduce bit balling.
An improved bit profile combined with our Constant Torque Cutting Structure results in a PDC bit with a torque response similar to that of a Roller Cone Bit. These innovations make Poly Diamond PDC bits extremely steerable for directional / horizontal drilling applications.
All designs feature a Balanced Work Per Cutter Layout which decreases the tendency to drop angle when rotated in directional applications. This improved cutter layout has also proven very effective when used in vertical wells by reducing bit walk leading to deviation problems. This limits the amount of stabilization required in the BHA for vertical applications.
