These systems incorporate the 'HELIXOR' - a sub-surface mixing/ aerating device constructed of 12 inch diameter molded poly- propylene - incorporating throughout its interior length an integral mololithic helix component. The units are anchored vertically and are supplied with compressed air (or gas) at their base - creating a highly turbulent flow of air (gas) and liquid. Approximately 2000 HELIXOR systems are in operation throughout the world - the largest utilizes 20, 000 HELIXORS in 10 concrete basins for industrial effluent. Treatment systems range from conventional aerated lagoons and concrete tanks or basins, to treatment systems installed within the receiving body of water-(i. e. a portion of a lake, river, or harbor is used as a treatment facility). Use of HELIXORS offers flexibility of design and few restrictions as to basin depth or geometry. The POLCON HELIXOR Anaerobic Digester Sludge Mixing System can be installed in fixed or floating roof digesters-and provides re- cycling of gas and total sludge mix, uniform sludge temperature, freedom from mixer blockage and minimum maintenance. The Company's Water Quality Improvement and Eutrophication Reversal systems are designed to create and maintain ideal environments for the growth of desirable and healthy aquatic life and, in colder climes, the prevention of ice formation and winter fishkill. We manufacture and market aeration systems using static tube aerators. The company has purchased the assets of Polcon Sales Ltd. including the use of trade names Polcon and Helixor. We treat industrial and municiple waste.
