In 1999 PICS developed a low cost passport solution for countries looking to replace their existing systems. The passports produced are more secure and less expensive that what can be currently produced by most available systems. In 2003 PICS developed a wireless biometric identification verification system linked to a payroll database for a foreign government. In 2003 PICS also completed the development and installation of a customized software package for Translink (Greater Vancouver Area). This package integrated the existing Translink hardware with proprietary technology allowing secure, reuseable photo ID's to be issued to students giving them verifiable, prepaid access to Transit.
