Our Company has been active in the field of organbuilding around the world for the last twenty-five years. A quick look at our company's opus list of new organs produced since 1979 reveals that roughly 80% of our instruments have been exported from Canada to foreign countries.
Over the past decade, our company has experienced tremendous growth and has over 50 full-time employees. The number of staff employed by our company is confirmation that Orgues Ltourneau Limite is a leader in the field of pipe organ building.
In the town of Saint-Hyacinthe, Qubec -- the capital of organ building in Canada -- our company has been twice awarded for its industrial progress. In 1996, the local Chamber of Commerce gave the company a Gold medal in the category of Small Manufacturing Industries. In 1988, we were given another Gold medal by the local Administration Club.
Our Opus List shows that we have signed over 100 contracts for new instruments. Among those projected for completion during the next three years, we are preparing a 157-rank pipe organ for the Church of St. John the DIvine, Houston, Texas; a three-manual pipe organ for First Congregational Church in Palo Alto, California and a 30-stop tracker organ for Penn State University in Pennsylvania. Orgues Ltourneau Limite has now established its name around the world with instruments installed across Canada, in the United States, England, Australia, Austria and New Zealand.
Fernand Ltourneau, the company's President and Artistic Director, is always working to increase our exports to other foreign countries.
