Our main focus is in the conception, design, engineering, assembly of custom engineered systems for process, ambient and emission monitoring applications. Novatech has extensive expertise in sampling system design and materials selection for dealing with corrosive, hot gases. The Novatech systems team will often be called upon to field commission the systems we design. As well, we do preventative maintenance contracts for the packages we build and commission.

In addition to the environmental emissions monitoring systems, Novatech also supplies analytical turn key solutions to wastewater monitoring, process monitoring and ambient air monitoring problems and requirements. Novatech also supplies specifically engineered multi point samplers (MPS) for extremely low level detection (ppb) of aggressive gases such as: hydrogen fluoride, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ammonia and various gases utilized in the semi-conductor industries. Novatech has been supplying Canadian firms, as well as firms in the U. S., Mexico and the Asia Pacific rim with analytical solutions for over seventeen years.

  G. P. Novatech Controls, Inc. of St. Laurent, Qubec have developed an expertise in the analysis of corrosive, dirty and hot stack gases. Novatech's approach to the problem was to study the sample characteristics and to engineer along with their partners Servomex, PLC of England, a complete turn-key package enabling the client to measure the hydrochloric acid and moisture level emissions from the stack on a continuous basis as was required by the Government of Qubec regulatory authorities.

  The solution supplied by Novatech included selecting compatible materials for the stack probe, heat trace sample lines, sample system components, and finally the analysers. A hastaloy and Teflon probe assembly was selected for the installation on the stack. The heat traced line supplied was an insulated, heated Teflon line in order to prevent the hot stack gases from condensing and the target gases (HCl and H2O) from precipitating out. All sample system components were required to be heated above the dew point of the stack gas. The actual analysers themselves were also supplied with heated cells and consisted of the Servomex series 2500 IR's.
