Provides Guardianship to Metis Children in continuing care. Provides community cultural awareness and education. Provides ongoing support to Metis Children in the transition from foster care. Cultural care plans for each child. Assist in obtaining support services for children in care. Provide services promoting the importance of traditions, culture and family values. Assist children in care with relationship building. Provide Metis children with the opportunity to be raised in a loving and nuturing environment. Recuriting and supporting Foster Care homes and assisting them to provide a safe and nurturing environment that supports the child's heritage and culture.
Ministry Support:
Support Ministry social workers to establish alternatrives to care for Metis children through collaboration on Risk Assessments, Risk reduction Plans and Cultural Planning.
Cultural Events and Services:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday night dance clasess, drumming classes family nights, summer camps, Powwos etc.
