Combining state of the art technologies and live testing against explosive ordnances and anti-personnel land mines, Med-Eng presents the world's most advanced body protection systems and tools for EOD/IEDD, Land Mine Reconnaissance and Mine Clearance duties. The firm also offers a personal protection ensemble for crowd control intervention.
Incorporated in 1981, Med-Eng Systems Inc. was founded primarily to manufacture a newly designed Explosive Disposal Helmet. The firm began its international activities in 1982.
Since its early years, Med-Eng Systems Inc. has tackled an aggressive Research & Development Program in conjunction with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Through several major test series, a substantial degree of expertise was acquired on the injurious effects of bomb blasts (overpressure, fragmentation, pressure induced body acceleration, impact, heat and heat stress).
In service in well over 100 countries and territories worldwide, Med-Eng products are renowned for their design excellence, quality and superior workmanship. In 1999, the EOD-8 Bomb Disposal Suit/Helmet System was introduced, incorporating the latest in protection and microprocessor technology. Like all Med- Eng ensembles, it is fully compatible with Med-Eng communication, add-on armour and body cooling systems.
Med-Eng is committed to developing integrated designs using the latest materials technology has to offer, to facilitate the user's operation with greater comfort, flexibility and the maximum protection possible.
