• Administrative Law Service

  Members of McInnes Cooper's Administrative Law Group have participated in various administrative law matters. We represent clients in administrative proceedings before numerous administration tribunals, including the Canada-U. S. Free Trade Dispute Panel, the Canadian Judicial Council and provincial judicial councils, Workers' Compensation Boards, Human Rights Tribunals, and Labour Boards.

  In addition, a significant portion of the work of our group involves judicial review, certiorari and injunction applications. Often these are applications for review of decisions reached by administrative bodies.

  Our Contracts Lawyers have wide experience and expertise in the timely completion of transactions of all types and in the preparation and negotiation of contracts and commercial documents.   Our Litigation Department provides a full range of experienced service in connection with civil litigation and regulatory matters.   The Litigation Group has as extensive insurance defence practice, serving insurance companies, mutual companies, specialized carriers, marine insurers, and bonding companies. We have acted in major cases throughout the region, involving construction projects and important marine and environmental cases. Each of our offices has litigation lawyers who have considerable experience in all areas. The Litigation Group's range of general litigation services in virtually unlimited.

  The Group has several lawyers trained and experienced in all aspects of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). The firm's objective is to obtain solutions that best match our clients' concerns and interests. The ADR process may include negotiation, arbitration, and mediation.
