The Organization Bell Sympatico, the consumer Internet services division of Bell Canada and Canada's leading ISP, offers a variety of Internet access products ranging from dial-up access to high speed Internet service. In addition to direct consumer marketing, the company depends on various retail channels such as Future Shop and Best Buy to aid in the fostering of new client accounts.

The Business Challenge The process by which retail partners formerly created new Bell Sympatico Accounts required sales associates to complete a seventeen-page application on-site with the end consumer. This system resulted in significant amounts of wasted time and consumer impatience. After the application was filled out, Bells retail partners then had to enter the data into a database to be provided to Bell and manually inserted once more into Bells application form and database system.

Lixars Solution To serve Bells purposes, Lixar developed Retailbot an advanced application that simplifies the ordering process for retail sales representatives and automates the communication of the data between systems. Lixars new improved web-based system allows sales representatives to complete the application in just five pages, transferring a data feed to Bells systems to incorporate the new information and automatically incorporate it into the form and database.
