In the year 2004 the Greater Vancouver Regional District completed installation of 1.4km of 1.05m to 2.4m diameter PVC lined concrete pipe at the Trout Lake Sanitary Sewer Upgrade. The PVC lined pipe was supplied to give protection from the expected Hydrogen Sulfide corrosion which can be a concern to concrete under certain flow conditions.
