The Pressure Treated Post You Can Set and Forget... for Decades CCA pressure treated pine posts from L&M Wood Products have the good looks, strength and workability of wood, and are less expensive, longer lasting and stronger than metal posts. Clean, oil-free and odourless, they can be used safely in almost any agricultural application, including pole barns and cattle sheds. You can forget about time-consuming post maintenance and replacement for decades to come.
L & M Wood Products has a full line of quality treated All Weather WoodTM pine products: 1 inch boards, all widths of 2 inch lumber, 4x4 and 6x6 posts, and large timbers up to 24 feet in length. Wides, posts and timbers are incised to maximize preservative effectiveness. All 2 inch decking, incised or not, is graded 2xBetter and hand selected for consumer appearance appeal. All Weather WoodTM is pressure treated with Timber Specialties K-33 CCA (chromated copper arsenate) for a lifetime of protection against rot, fungal decay and termite attack.
L & M Wood Products has evolved from its origins as a sawmill to become the foremost Saskatchewan producer of quality treated wood products.
A secured supply of timber is fundamental to our success as a treated wood producer. L & M Wood Products has a forest management licence agreement with the Province of Saskatchewan which allows us an annual cutting of 60, 000 cubic metres of softwood, principally Jack Pine - a species noted for treatability. As a part of the agreement, we are also responsible for the reforestation of the woodlands to which we have timber rights. Twenty employees of L & M Wood Products are dedicated full time to our forestry operations.
Complete milling, planing and peeling capabilities enable L & M Wood Products to prepare both dimensional lumber and round stock to any customer specifications.
Quality CCA pressure treating is the focus of our business. L & M Wood Products is a certified Timber Specialties treating plant with a 6x50 foot cylinder with the capacity to produce 20 million board feet of treated wood per year. Our quality control begins with incising the wood before treating and continues throughout the vacuum/pressure process. Using the latest in incising technology, we are able to both meet the stringent CSA treating standards of the specifications market and produce appearance grade treated wood for consumer use. We use only highest quality, 100% pure K-33 CCS (chromated copper arsenate) oxide, ensuring that our treated wood products are clean, dependable and worry-free.
L & M was awarded an Abex Award in 1997 and has numerous acknowledgements from Sask. Envionrment, Canadian Association of Treated Wood, Sask. Forestry Association.
