  The development of a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) refueling station to refuel natural gas-powered vehicles (NGVs) requires a high degree of specialized knowledge and experience, which is available only on a limited basis worldwide. Typical scenarios involve the design and proper sizing of CNG refueling station equipment to match and optimize vehicle filling profiles and future expansion. The equipment package typically includes natural gas compressors, integration and automation technologies, storage optimization techniques, gas drying and dispensing systems suited to each particular filling application. By acquiring a knowlegable and experienced team of sales personel, a core of engineering and technology development and support staff, and a dedicated and highly specialized labour force, Kraus Global is able to provide turnkey development of CNG refueling stations and equipment for clients.

  Kraus equipment is prevalent throughout the NGV field in many forms, both as OEM refueling station equipment and in other manufacturers' equipment. Kraus Micon heads are still found today in more than 80% of the CNG dispensers in North America, and the new Micon 500C dedicated CNG sequencing head will ensure the continuation of such relationships with other manufacturers. There are literally hundreds of Kraus CNG dispensers and gas panels around the world, mostly in the United States, ranging from public sites with the likes of Conoco, Shell Oil, Mobil Oil, SuperAmerica, Unocal and Exxon, to utility installations, to high flow custom transit refuelling systems.

  Notable projects include the fastest CNG bus refueling facility in Europe at Mainz, Germany, the first indoor CNG bus refueling facility in Canada at London Transit in London, Ontario, and the first complete CNG refueling station in Korea. Twenty CNG compressor packages were sold to Columbia Gas of Ohio, the single largest C NG compressor order given in the United States. Most will be installed on oil company properties through partnering agreements with Columbia Gas.
