The 320M Marine Echosounder was developed for conventional open-water survey, scientific and navigation applications. A flexible architecture allows ready integration to other modern survey tools including GPS, heave compensators, and dataloggers. Available in single or dual frequency models, the 320M represents the current state of the art in echosounder technology and includes unique capabilities such as built-in SCSI interface, field programmable software, and a standard Windows interface. The 320M was the chosen system for Canada's twelve new minesweeper vessels, and is also used by well-known institutes such as the Canadian Hydrographic Service, U. S. Army Corps, and the Royal Dutch Geological Institute of Geology.
The new 320B portable echosounder is a "black box" version of the 320M marine system. It has the functionality of the 320M minus the printer and front control panel. It is designed to plug into a personal computer and uses a Windows interface instead of the front control panel. The 320B comes standard with the same features as offered in the 320M, including a built-in SCSI interface, field programmable software, and standard drivers to other survey tools such as GPS, heave sensors, and dataloggers.
Knudsen 320 series of echosounders provide precision water depth measurements, and are used worldwide by hydrographic agencies, port authorities, navies, and research institutions as well as commercial dredging and survey companies.
The Knudsen 320 series of echosounders, with the ability to interface to other positioning and navigational systems, can provide precision hydrographic data. This data is invaluable for many aspects related to marine research, environmental monitoring and public safety. The Knudsen sounders are rugged systems capable of high quality performance in harsh environments.
