Kingston Heading Service Ltd. and its sister company, Counter Punch Ltd., have been providers of quality tooling for the Fastener Industry since 1974. Located in Kingston, Ontario, we have built a strong reputation for quality and dependability. This resulted in our acceptance for registration to the ISO 9002-1994 International Standard of Quality Management, in December 1995.
MISSION STATEMENT:
Our goal is to continue to be a world-class supplier of top quality cold forming and hot forging tooling, while providing a safe and inspiring work environment for our employees. Our commitement is to continue to provide for our customers the utmost in service, reliability and support. We undertake responsibility for maintaining a system of continuous improvement, and for achieving total customer satisfaction.
PERSONNEL:
Frank Gavaghan, our founder and President, has worked in the Fastener industry since 1955. He has a wealth of experience and expertise to offer present and potential customers.
Randy Rafuse, our Quality and Engineering Manager, has responsibility for the Quality Management System for ISO 9002.
Dave Bowley is Manager, Sales and Customer Service. Dave ensures customer satisfaction. He liaises with each customer during all stages of the ordering process, from initial enquiry to shipment of the finished product.
Jenny Gavaghan is Controller for both companies.
FACILITIES:
A 10, 000 square feet modern Plant, situated close to Highway 401 midway between Toronto and Montreal. Twenty minutes drive from the U. S. border, we are ideally located to offer speedy response to the needs of our customers both in Canada and in the United States.
Our premises include Heat Treatment facilities and a complete Quality Inspection department. A full clean-air plant filtration system guarantees optimum working conditions for our skilled team of machinists. Two shifts and a full compliment of back-up staff, as well as recently expanded capacity in both men and machines, enables us to offer customers speedy and reliable support.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT:
The ISO 9002 System of Quality Management guarantees our customers that their tooling needs will be met correctly, and on time. Controls at all levels of manufacturing, from material ordering through to final inspection and shipping, ensure that our tooling conforms completely to all customer specifications. Rigorous and documented inspection of processes guarantee our tooling quality. Our team of highly-skilled staff all actively participate in pro-active initiatives aimed at continuous improvement. Training and education for staff members is ongoing, and is planned so that it includes input from our customers regarding their particular needs.
