Integration Broker even supports legacy databases, which are notoriously hard to integrate.
The tremendous flexibility of Integration Broker stems in part from its ability to interface with applications in four key ways:
through application programming interfaces (APIs), such as those in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems;
through direct connections to databases;
by reading or writing files, such as those used in file-based integration; and from common message-based infrastructures, such as IBMs MQSeries.
In addition to this core functionality, Integration Broker has plug-in components that extend its reach into such areas as FTP, e-mail, TCP/IP sockets, Entrust/PKI, and code-page conversion.
