Jutland Tool and Die Limited was founded in 1967 by the President, Mr. Kaz Swica. This a family owned and operated business, proudly celebrating its Thirtieth Anniversary in 1997.
Jutland Tool and Die Limited was originally located on 19 Jutland Road in Etobicoke, Ontario and provided Tool Shop services to many satisfied customers.
By 1979 the small tool shop was successfully relocated to our present premises on 925 Kamato Road to provide even greater amounts of customers with their many custom mould requirements. At this time the introduction of the Plastic Injection Moulding facility was also launched.
Jutland specializes in building high production injection moulds from QC-7 Aluminum Mould Plate. Our experience from building aluminum tooling for the past 18 years has proven to us and our customers that aluminum moulds perform as well and in some cases better than steels moulds. With saving of up to 40% in tooling costs and 20% reductions in part cycle time, aluminum tooling has become very attractive.
In 1993, the acquisition of a second building located on 919 Kamato Road was necessary to facilitate the high demand of injection moulded products.
About 60% of all our business is for the Automotive Industry which is very demanding in quality and high production.
Presently Jutland produces approximately 250, 000 to 300, 000 parts per week for this industry alone. Packaging, Sports & Leisure, Furniture and Construction Industries make up the rest of our business. Jutland has a fully- equipped Tool Room capable of producing moulds large and small. MasterCam 3D Cad software is used for part design and machining of moulds. In April 1997 we installed our first CNC Vertical Machine Centre.
Our moulding facility is equipped with seventeen Kawaguchi Moulding Machines and Machines range from 33 ton to 400 tons, each outfitted with dryer hoppers and mould temperature controllers allowing us to process a wide variety of engineering materials. Raw material is fed to each machine by Mould-Tek Central Loading Systems.
