Ivey-sol removes petroleum hydrocarbon (gasoline, fuel oil diesel, etc.) and PAH (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) contaminants from soil, groundwater and bedrock, allowing you to meet and achieve the highest possible environmental standards in North America.
Ivey International Inc. is the only company in North America to offer this new innovative technology which dramatically improves the ability to remove these contaminants from the environment.
Ivey-sol is a phase transfer technology that works at the molecular level, separating petroleum hydrocarbons and PAH's from contaminated soils, bedrock and the groundwater table. Proprietary biodegradable mixtures are used to increase the solubility of the contaminants, making them easier to liberate, recover and treat on-site.
Ivey-sol can be used as an addition to existing pump and treatment facilities to reduce the decommissioning time or to achieve lower concentrations of dissolved total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) and PAH's. Cleanup time can be reduced by more than 75% and the result will exceed the strictest environmental standards in North America.
Ivey-sol technology incorporates designed phase transfer mixtures (patent pending) that interact with a specific class or type of organic (LNAPL) contaminants. The contaminant is liberated from the soil, bedrock and/or free floating phase and encapsulated, allowing for their rapid recovery at an on-site pumping well. The encapsulated hydrocarbons called 'micelles', vary in size and composition and make the contaminants water soluble.
Ivey-sol guarantees an increase in the rate of contaminant recovery. The clean-up times are shortened and project costs are dramatically reduced. More of the contaminated material can be recovered easily. This reduces the need for costly and extensive soil excavation.
Ivey-sol reduces the inconvenience and liability of our clients. Decommissioning time is shortened by years.

Ivey International Inc. provides certified environmental site assessment services. We are members of the Environmental Assessment Association and the Association of Environmental Site Assessors of Canada.
We provide Phase I (non-intrusive) as well as Phase II and III (intrusive) assessment services. Phase I assessments primarily consist of a detailed records review, interviews and site walk-over. Phase II and III assessments incorporate the information obtained from a Phase I assessment as well as the collection of soil, air and/or groundwater samples.
We also provide risk based assessments (RBCA) using Tier 1 (look-up tables)and Tier 2 (computer modeling) methods. Risk assessments provide a site specific set of remediation guidelines often less stringent than generic tables provided by government departments. These risk assessments are recognized by government agencies and financial institutions.
Ivey International Inc. provides hazardous waste management services such as development and implementation of waste management strategies, recycling and disposal.
Ivey International Inc. provides hydrogeological assessment services in order to evaluate site conditions with respect to contaminant migration and determination of optimum remediation approaches.
Ivey International Inc. uses innovative remediation technology to restore soil, air, and groundwater quality. Processes include: Ivey-sol Phase Transfer Technology;
In-situ and Ex-situ Bioremediation; remediation system design and installation.
