Integrated Explorations Inc. has provided environmental and biological consulting services since
bioengieering, the provision of bioremediation services and the development of novel air and water biofiltration systems.
Service categories are as follows:
ENVIRONMENTAL BIOTECHNOLOGIES
Consulting and technical contracting services are provided for site bioremediation, air and water biofiltration, and in-situ biotreatment. These services include design, installation and maintenance. Biotreatability testing is supported by in-house chemical and analytical facilities and environmental test chamber systems. Ecological engineering has involved lake aeration, habitat restoration, and living machine design and development. Industrial environmental services involve environmental equipment maintenance, air monitoring, and site assessments.
LABORATORY SERVICES
Our laboratory facilities are primarily involved in environmental and food microbiology, organic and inorganic chemistry, aquatic toxicity testing, product biodegradability evaluations, and biotreatment feasibility studies. In-house as well as contract research and development is conducted in our environmentally controlled lab facilities where environmental products and processes are evaluated. Both bench and pilot scale feasibility testing can be accommodated.
ECOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS
Comprehensive ecological impact assessments are provided primarily for aquatic habitats utilizing our extensive experience in applying in-situ biomonitoring techniques and conducting extensive benthic community surveys and analysis. We also provide fisheries studies and wetlands evaluations. Specialized equipment, developed by our firm over the years, has given us an advantage in establishing new sampling capabilities and reducing survey costs. Diving operations are often incorporated into our survey strategies to optimize our survey sampling efficiency.
ENVIRONMENTAL DIVING
Scientific and contaminant diving services are provided primarily for underwater contaminant mapping surveys, ecological and fisheries habitat studies, fish kill or spill emergency impact assessments, underwater contaminant cleanup operations. Our professional dive team members are comprised of environmental scientists and technicians with commercial and hazardous materials diving experience. Our multidisciplinary team can conduct comprehensive surveys in short time, provide preliminary impact assessments during emergencies, and make on-site decisions regarding sampling design strategies to suite unique site conditions. Experience includes toxicological and histological evidence collection, video documentation, and underwater contaminant mapping using our own proprietary sediment probing technology.

Integrated Explorations has conducted significant R&D to develop several types of proprietary packings for varied air biofiltration applications. Recent advances in our bioreator designs have increased flexibility and range of compounds that can be effectively treated. We design, build, install and maintain air biofiltration systems ranging in capacity from 5 to 75, 000 cfms. Primary focus is on modular, mobile units within the 50 to 2000 cfm range for either high loading toxic treatment capacity or low loading odour treatment capacity. We are also able provide large scale, housed or in ground, air biofiltration systems. Services include monitoring, repair, retrofitting, change out, and bulk packing supply for existing air biofiltration systems. Typically any organic compound, low chlorinated compounds, ammonia, and hydrogen sulfide can be treated. Examples of commonly encountered biodegradable vapour contaminants include gasoline, kerosene, benzene, toluene, xylene, phenol, formaldehyde, vinyl chloride, dichloromethane, acetone, styrene, alcohols, ketones, butane, and mercaptans.
