The Office of Industry Liaison is the interface for university and industry. Over 1300 faculty members in 17 faculties with 36 departments at The University of Western Ontario are provided with professional service and advice on access to research funding, contract negotiation, intellectual property issues, and market and business aspects relating to research developments.
Industry is provided with easy access to university expertise and technology. The technology transfer and industrial liaison efforts are an expansion of UWO's sponsored research program and reflect the desire of UWO faculty, staff, and students to participate and support research and development projects of value to industry and interest to the community.
