(now IDEAS Simulation & Control Ltd.) of Vancouver, British Columbia has won the 1996 Excellence in Product Innovation Award from the British Columbia Technology Industries Association (BCTIA). Universal Dynamics Technologies Inc. (now IDEAS Simulation & Control Ltd.) won the award for its Universal Adaptive Controller (UAC) [BrainWave] software product.
(2) Armand Thompson, Head Brewer at Molson's Breweries says the plant has applied BrainWave to kettle boil control for the past two years. 'Because IDEAS' adaptive control anticipates the different parts of the brewing process, steam can be applied more consistently to the kettles. We're so pleased that we're going to be extending BrainWave to other brewery processes as well.'
