Optima Engineers and Constructors Inc. is a full service EPC company of about 150 people providing quality project management, process design, engineering, procurement and construction as well as construction management expertise to the Oil and Gas sector.

Our technology base includes:

We are experienced in many types of projects from turnkey to plant expansions and retrofit projects in operating and shutdown modes, requiring tie-ins, review of as-builts, etc. We are also very familiar with enhanced oil recovery systems (CO2 flood and fire flood systems), gathering systems, treatment systems, satellites, batteries, pipeline transmission lines, pumping stations and compression.

We utilize integrated EPC systems to provide capital cost estimates, project cost and schedule control, man-hour and quality control as well as procurement, engineering and construction systems and procedures.

We execute projects in our downtown Calgary office where we have a fully integrated EPC operation supported by project services and CADD drafting.

We are flexible in the we can provide one man or several into a project team or assemble a complete project team in our own offices to undertake studies, estimates, preliminary design or complete engineering, procurement and construction.

Our technology group of process engineers does everything from conceptual design through technical audits, process options, preliminary design, PFD's and P&ID's to final design and project implementation.

We have an excellent safety record on our projects and utilize our own safety manual, safety planning and orientation program on every project for all staff and contractors. We have an in- house safety/safeguarding specialist.

We are committed to Total Quality Management and are in the process of obtaining ISO 9001 registration.

MARKETING STRATEGY

Optima Engineers and Constructors Inc. Has an established market in Alberta. Saskatchewan and British Columbia. We have undertaken small projects overseas and are presently preparing to enter the Argentine marketplace as a priority business destination.

Our marketing strategy for the Argentine Republic is becoming International Export ready in Canada first, then developing a market analysis/presence within Argentina.

To assist in developing business directives, we plan to network with Canadian Government (Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade), Canadian individuals and corporations currently conducting business in Argentina. These contacts will lead to key Argentine contacts whereby we can develop an in-country presence to promote our services and expertise. Based on the results of such, we may be prepared to extend our activities to other Mercosur countries.

We are targeting a market where we see a potential for the future. Although the petroleum sector has been affected by the current low oil price we feel that this is short term and we can provide services and expertise to this sector now and for the future.

The Vice President, Technology and International business development will pursue the Argentine market. The President and Vice President of the Company plan to travel to the Argentine, initially to explore the potential and then to learn more of the culture and business practices of the Argentine people.
