Gwen Nowlan lived in Tokyo, Japan for five of her formative years, graduating from The International School of the Sacred Heart. There she became fluent in Japanese and developed a love for the culture, customs and the people of Japan. GNCH selects Host Families from a list of applicants and past hosts. This is the first and one of the most important or our functions. The screening is meticulous and the applicants must meet the highest of standards. Interviews, police screening and home inspections must all be acceptable before the applicant is accepted as a Host Family. Each program is different and individually structured, orientation for both student and Host family is provided. Private transportation is provided throughout the program for all activities. There is daily communication with every Host Family to confirm the student's progress and well-being.

I have been on big company homestay program and yours. Yours was very nice small group and you are very nice person. You have very nice host families and a special homestay program for me and my friends. Thank you for a wonderful time, I will come back! Hiroko
