In 1999 several of Toronto's banks experienced an increased rash of robberies. Mr. Duncan realized that an opportunity existed in this market for highly trained, highly motivated and better paid security professionals who would provide a higher level of service than the stereotypical minimum wage Security Officer. As a pilot project, Mr. Duncan was called upon to provide Operational guidence for a number of 'troublesome' sites at one of the top five financial institutions. Guard services dramatically impacted the level of robbery attempts at these sites and gave bank customers and employees a new level of comfort.
