Oil Filter inspection. This application required a system that had a friendly 'operator Interface' to add new recipes on demand. And one that an operator with limited computer experience could follow and perform succesfully. The Vision station has a wizard guidance tool that prompts the user to follow 1~5 steps to complete a new recipe. Once comlete the operator simply chooses a recipe from a drop down menu and runs the inspection station. Vision station in currently inspecting 100 different recipes. 2 systems installed since 2003.

Pechiney Plastics Division of Alcan. We performed Bottle inspection, which landed a cover feature article on 'Canadian Packaging'. The variable 600 BPM line changes on the fly. We provided a 4 camera solution. 1 Camera looking down from the top, and 3 from the sides at 120 degrees each. We performed measurement indexs, and quality inspection. Ovality, concentricity, catching inclusions as small as 1mm. 2 systems have been installed now 2 years ago and still running strong. System provides production, SPC, and alarm reports to help management at all levels. Trends defects to reduce scrap rates, and records reject images for process analysis.
This opportunity was a great opportunity to show industry our Vision Experience and Muscles.

Blister Inspec
Blister packagaing Line Vision Inspection system. Inspecting Tablet or Capsule lines using hot or cold form blistering methods. System verifies colour, dimensions, presence, and defects such as cracks, chips, partials or incompletes. Can be integrated unto existing lines.
